One of the realities of racial prejudice is that it inflicts real pain on real people—often people who are hiding the pain: the woman who cares for your kids or cleans your house, or the man or woman who cooks the food you eat in a restaurant or who processes the food you eat in a processing plant nearby.
As I write this there are people in our country living in ceaseless anxiety moment-to-moment about the future. But it goes double for racial minorities and undocumented workers who also must be concerned with how they might be treated in the hands of governmental authorities if they should fall into those hands.
I believe we have grown careless in how we treat the helpless and vulnerable in our country but unless you are willing to look, you’ll never know. Please take a moment to watch this movie trailer. On Wednesday I’ll be back with an interview with award-winning filmmaker Luís Argueta to talk about the making of this film. Just click on the image below to view.
