In an earlier post I referenced the work of Noel Ignatiev and his newsletter, Race Traitor. In his book, “How the Irish became White”, he tells the story of how the Irish went from being a despised minority to full fledged members of the oppressor class. The English historically considered the Irish as being only somewhat higher on the social/racial scale from the “wogs” in their empire. “No Irish” signs were as common in the post potato famine northeast US as “white only” signs in the Jim Crow south. The Irish were admitted to the Club by agreeing to the premise of white, the race, superiority. Paul Theroux, in his book ” Dark Star, An African Safari”, writes that when the Japanese first started doing business with apartheid South Africa they had themselves legally designated “white” by parliament in order to more effectively take part in the plunder but more importantly to the golf obsessed Japanese to be able to play at the whites only golf clubs.
Anthropologists tell us that race does not exist beyond that of the human one. Clubs based on class and culture certainly do. No one is actually white, black, yellow or red, the colors, so lets take a page from the South Africans and declare that everyone who wants can be a member of White, The Club. “Treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity”.
